    McTimoney Chiropractic
McTimoney Chiropractic is a gentle whole body treatment and is used for the treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders, or disease, on the function of the nervous system and general health.

    What is McTimoney Chiropractic ?

McTimoney Chiropractic is a gentle whole body treatment and is used for the treatment and prevention of mechanical disorders of the musculoskeletal system and the effects of these disorders, or disease, on the function of the nervous system and general health.

This treatment is suitable for all age groups from newborns upwards.

    Why choose McTimoney Chiropractic ?

The McTimoney method of Chiropractic is gentle and precise in a way that makes it suitable for people throughout their lifetime.

McTimoney Chiropractic care may be used regularly for all members of the family to help maintain good posture, promote health, and improve performance no matter what it is you do.

It is my joy as a McTimoney Chiropractor that through this treatment, and through harnessing the body’s inner wisdom, there is an awakening of positive emotional states and a reconnection to one’s self in many different ways.

    What happens during a treatment?

At the first appointment I will assess your problem and your general health by listening to you, taking a medical history, (with your permission) conduct a physical examination then discuss the findings with you.

If your problem is not suitable for Chiropractic care, I will outline why, and make a recommendation for a referral to either your GP or another healthcare provider.

If Chiropractic care is appropriate, I will indicate to you on a model spine how the neuromusculo-skeletal system has been misaligned and how that relates to your problem.

Once all has been discussed, I will begin the full body treatment. You will be fully clothed throughout.

A follow up appointment usually takes place soon after within the next couple of weeks.

On a case by case basis, I also incorporate other healing modalities such as flower essences, Anusha healing, Craniosacral therapy, and/or life coaching into your treatment if I feel it will benefit you.

What is it good for ?

McTimoney Chiropractic care may be used regularly to help to maintain good posture, promote health, and improve performance no matter what you do daily, what age you are, or whether you are pregnant.

Patients undergoing Chiropractic care often benefit from relief from:

    Children

Aches and pains in children can be from bumps, falls, and tumbles, or from the use of gaming equipment, laptops, tablets, carrying heavy bags to and from school, sports and PE.

As children get older there can be instances which lead to niggling discomforts, or more specific problems such as back or neck pain, migraines or headaches.

    Pregnancy

Pregnancy is an exciting time of great change for your body. Many women experience a range of Musculo-skeletal issues anytime during their pregnancy.

The increased curve in your back can lead to back pain and increased movement in the joints of the pelvis due to the ligament softening, and can lead to pain and discomfort around the pelvic girdle.

Problems that might be helped are:

If you have a history of neck and back problems, unfortunately you may find they return during pregnancy.

We can work with you to establish a regular maintenance schedule that ensures your maximum comfort for the duration of the pregnancy.
