I began my Herbal Medicine studies at Nature Care College in Sydney,
Australia and finished my Bachelor of Science Honours in Herbal
Medicine at the University of Central Lancashire.
I have practised Herbalism for over a decade and have been learning and
developing my knowledge and skills in this area for over thirty years. I’d
love to help guide you on your wellness journey by drawing on my
experience in personal development, life coaching, aromatherapy, other
wellbeing techniques and of course, herbs.
I’ve always been interested in health and being the best you can be.
Whilst deciding if I should do an MBA for my job as a learning
Relationship Manager, I studied for a Diploma in Aromatherapy because I
wanted to know more about essential oils. This sparked my interest in
the use of plants to heal. I then wanted to be able use plants internally
as well so I enrolled in herbal medicine.
I healed my own autoimmune condition with a combination of dietary
changes, herbs and lifestyle. Similar combined strategies have helped
many people to enhance their health, too.
One of my favourite quote is “Ability without education is like a tree
without fruit” - , so I’m all about helping people do and be their best.
I’ve been doing this throughout my career, first as an Art and History
teacher and then in the corporate world in HR and Learning. I currently
interweave my work as a learning and development specialist and Medical
Herbalist for this same purpose.
I love being creative to help you design a wellbeing plan that will work for
your unique needs and circumstances so that you can be at your
healthiest. This can include: herbal medicine; supplements; foods to add
and decrease in your diet; lifestyle and personal development tips and
strategies. It may also involve working in a complementary way with your
doctor and / or any other therapists. I’m also pragmatic, so I help you
work how to make positive changes in your lifestyle and diet and then
support and motivate you along the way with regular check-ins and useful
resources.
