The Bowen Technique is a gentle, subtle and relaxing hands-on treatment suitable for adults and children, including newborn babies and the elderly.
The Bowen Technique aims to balance the whole person, not just the symptoms and helps people of all ages who are suffering, for example, from back, neck and shoulder pain, knee problems, sports injuries, sciatica, frozen shoulders as well as stress-related difficulties.
It can be performed through one layer of light clothing and has brought
rapid and lasting relief to people of all ages. An appointment for
treatment using the Bowen technique will take approximately an hour.
The practitioner uses thumbs or fingers to make a series of precise,
rolling-type moves over muscle or tendon. During treatment there are a
series of short breaks where the patient is left resting to allow their
body to respond to the gentle moves that have been performed. This
rest period is an important part of the treatment and gives the body
time to make subtle and fine adjustments that help to re-balance the body, relieve tension and reduce pain. It is these features that make the
Bowen Technique so unique.
Amongst other things, Bowen Technique can address back and neck pain, sciatica, frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, sports injuries – chronic and acute, leg length differences, tilted pelvis, joint pain, muscle spasm, hamstring strain, pain management, acute and chronic fatigue, asthma, hayfever, bronchial complaints, irritable bowel syndrome, digestive problems, strokes, whiplash, infant colic, P.M.T., stress, anxiety related problems, low energy.
First consultation and treatment £55.00. Please allow 1.5-2 hours for first treatment. Follow up treatments £45.00.
